I could complete the mission, and the Tactical I wasn't thrilled at the cost of the X52Pro, as now the game is really a $200 game, but I must admit it has been worth the investment.įrom the first Tutorial M ission I was impressed with theĬontrol the X52Pro offered. This was beyond frustrating given the initial purchase price of $44.99 (Purchased during Steam Summer Sale, normal price was $59.99). Prior to gett ing the X52 Pro, all I was able to do in Elite Dangerous was spin in circles using my Keyboard and Mouse. Then I startedĮxploring in the Windows menu and found the screens below:

Internet search and noticed several reviews in which many peopleĬomplained about driver issues with this unit.Īt first I was mad about the driver issue, as there would beĪspects of the controller I would not be able to program. I attempted toĭrivers again (without the extension cable), same issue.

Only change was the install of the X52 Drivers, I did a system restoreīefore they were installed and the system was fine. I run Prime95, CPU remains at 1200Mhz, and Prime95 crashes. Notice my CPU-Z shows my CPU remaining at 1200Mhz (instead of its normalģ500Mhz). It is taking forever to get on the Internet and load pages. Not thinking anything about the dialogue box, I resume my Many 16-bit programs running and forces me to restart. I was researching something on theĪnd did not immediately quit. I was browsing the Internet or playing a card game whileįinally, it finished the install.

When I started installing the drivers I noticed it was Website and downloaded the latest driver for install. Windowsħ detected the new hardware, and identified it correctly. I used the Extension Cable.Īfter unpacking I connected the unit to my computer. Pro connected to the computer at all times, or use a USB extension cable to aid USB connector is “hardwired” to the Throttle. Possibly the first negative I can say about the unit was the Is a PS/2 cable that connects the Throttle to the Joystick (see picture on left). Hooking the unit up to my computer was fairly simple. The unit also came with a set of suction cup feet for both the Throttle and Joystick.

If moved all the way forward or back and released the Joystick will return to center, but not suddenly where it might damage the unit. Power I moved the Throttle and Joystick assemblies. Throttle and Joystick was wrapped in plastic. Was well packaged with Cardboard Egg Crate both top and bottom.

My first thoughts after opening the box? I was impressed. So, I was shocked to see the sticker price of the X52 Pro at $160 I used that thing for years, until Decent wasn't popular anymore and I moved on to The 90’s paying $25 for a Logitech Joystick at the Computer Fest in Dayton, OH. Keep in mind I haven’t had a joystick since Decent (1994 – ), so I didn’t know what to expect. Play the game (at least the way the developers of the game intended), and
